Asphalt Coatings Company Crack Seals and Stripes the Parking Lot at Northridge in Littleton, Colorado
A recreation center parking lot serves a steady stream of visitors, and its fire lanes, crosswalks and accessible stalls all need to read clearly. At the Northridge recreation center on South Broadway in Littleton, Asphalt Coatings Company patched the drive lanes, then returned five days later to crack seal, restripe and repaint the fire-lane curbs.

Patching the Drive Lanes First
Asphalt Coatings Company patched the Northridge drive lanes on its first visit. Square and rectangular asphalt patches now cover the worn spots in the drives beside the fire-lane curbs.
At the time, the red curb paint beside those patches had faded to pink, with the old stencils barely readable. That condition set up the second half of the project.
Crack Sealing Across the Lot
Asphalt Coatings Company sealed cracks at Northridge on the return visit, five days after patching. Black bands of crack sealant run across the lot and through the stall rows.
Sealing cracks closes the paths that let water into the pavement. Doing it before striping means the new lines go down on a surface that has already been sealed.
New Striping in White
Asphalt Coatings Company laid out the Northridge parking lot again in white. The new layout includes stall lines, ADA stalls and crosswalks.
- ADA stalls: blue accessible symbols and white hatched aisles mark the ADA stalls nearest the building.
- Crosswalks: white crosswalk bars and a stop bar cross both the entry drive and the exit drive.
- Stall lines: fresh white lines restore the parking layout across the lot.
Fire-Lane Curbs Restored
Asphalt Coatings Company repainted the fire-lane curbs at Northridge. Bright red paint and fresh white No Parking and Fire Lane stencils now cover the curbs along the walkways.
Going from faded pink with barely readable stencils to bright red with crisp lettering makes the fire lane obvious to every driver who pulls in.

Why Sequencing Matters
Asphalt Coatings Company sequences patching, crack sealing and striping so each step supports the next. Patches restore the worst spots. Crack sealing protects the rest of the surface. Striping and curb paint finish the lot so it reads clearly to drivers and pedestrians. At Northridge, that sequence took two visits five days apart.
For a public-facing facility like a recreation center, clear crosswalks at the entry and exit and visible accessible stalls near the building matter as much as the pavement itself.
